Circa 1943.
Here is the great art deco shaped covered casserole by Homer Laughlin Pottery Company from the 30s and 40s. Riviera pottery was adapted from the Century Ivory Vellum line and this example of the casserole in the Ivory glaze is a fantastic example of the piece. Ink stamped on the bottom "Homer Laughlin, Made in the USA, M43 N8". Excellent condition. Please note one light scratch on the lid shown in the first and last pictures specifically, otherwise this beautfiul casserole looks unused. Ivory Riviera pottery makes a great transition from the Fiesta dinnerware line because they share the same wonderful glaze, not to mention designer. One of the most impressive pieces in the small Riviera line.
