Circa: 1942-1944: To find striped vintage Fiesta
pottery is a great treat, made for special orders and as promotional items for department stores, the striped pottery will be found in far less quanities than the standard vintage Fiesta
tableware. The stripes were hand painted after the plate was fired, glazed and fired again. Referred to as cold painted, these stripes will wear off with use, so to find them in such nice condition as this example is a pleasure. Please note some manufacturing pops on the surface of the luncheon plate, but the green stripes remain sharp and fresh and the large size of the 9" luncheon plate with the hand painted stripes makes for a fun and unique piece. Under the glaze stamped on the back "GENUINE fiesta HLCo USA" and unmarked as well. Measures 9 7/19" x 3/4"
