Circa 1936-1938: Bottom Rings. By the time you reach the #5 Fiesta
mixing bowl you've got yourself a large bowl. Only a couple inches smaller than the #7 grandaddy of them all, the #5 nesting bowl commands a presence. There is something about the vintage Fiesta
bowl in the way it swells outwards and has thinner walls than expected that makes it larger and able to hold more than other types of bowls of the same size. Combine that with it's tall, spill proof walls and you have a kitchen bowl very tempting to use. Luckily, this example in the brilliant original red must have spent the last 70+ years on the shelf. This bowl shows no use and with rings on the inside bottom and both an interior and exterior without any damage or use, it is a masterpiece. Perfect glaze without issues. PLEASE NOTE: This early bowl is out of round and will not nest well with other bowls, so it is perfect for display or use. The glaze is spectacular, as good as it gets, and the condition is immaculate. Marked on the bottom in the mold with the impressed early mark " fiesta MADE IN USA 5" . Measures 8 9/16" w x 5 11/16h"
