Circa 1938 to 1942: It's the number four Fiesta
nesting bowl that really starts to take on some size. By the time you reach the number seven your at 11" wide, but the #4 is your classic sized kitchen bowl, perfect for almost any task and with the great high walls that are unique to the fiesta
design, spill proof and great for mixing. Clay body was pressed into a mold and the inside rings were made by hand tooling on a jiggering machine. This example in the original green is in excellent condition. Please note a sand bump near the inside bottom of the bowl (shown in picture 7 at about 5 o'clock) and a few under the rim (very tiny and shown in the 1st picture at about 9 o'clock). The important thing is the fabulous, damage free condition, no dings on the rim, no scratches, no glaze irregularities, nothing but the great expanse of original green. Double marked on the bottom, once in the mold with the embressed "HLC fiesta MADE IN USA" and the glaze stamp "GENUINE fiesta HLCo USA". It is far more common than one would think to find vintage fiesta bowls double marked. Measures 7 11/16" w x 5 1/16h"
