Circa 1938 to 1942: It's the number four Fiesta
nesting bowl that really starts to take on some size. By the time you reach the number seven your at 11" wide, but the #4 is your classic sized kitchen bowl, perfect for almost any task and with the great high walls that are unique to the fiesta
design, spill proof and great for mixing. Clay body was pressed into a mold and the inside rings were made by hand tooling on a jiggering machine. This example in the original cobalt is in excellent condition. It's always nice to find the cobalt mixing bowls without glaze skips, since they show up so easily with the dark glaze. This example is just great with a rich, bold and even glaze, without scratches to mar its surface (please not one light long scratch on the inside bottom, and a few very short ones (close up of picture 5 is your best chance of trying to see them - very light and only show in one angle), nothing else to note but a perfect rim, without dings or use. Nicely marked on the bottom in the mold with the embressed "HLC fiesta MADE IN USA" . Measures 7 11/16" w x 5 1/16h"
