Circa 1959-1969. In June of 1959 the Fiesta
line was revamped and one last new color was added. Medium green was introduced and all the other 50s colors were ended. The original red glaze, which had to cease production at the beginning of World War II because of the uranium content that was needed for the War efforts, was reintroduced at this time as well. Fiesta
pottery, which had been some of the most popular American dishware since the late 30s saw a great decline in sales, and thus production during this time. With the exception of the addition of the great Individual Salad Bowl, many pieces were cut once again with the release of Medium Green and Original Red - egg cups, coffee pots, demitasse cups. So to find one of the largest and most decorated pieces of the historical fiestaware line still being produced in the short lived medium green glaze is a treat for the hunting collector.
This example is in excellent condition with no damage, no repairs and a wonderful glaze with only the mildest of irregularities. Wonderfully shiney and rich medium green will delight the collector.
