Circa 1951-1959: 50s color egg cups are rare and hard to find. The egg cup was one of fourteen additional items introduced within the first year of Fiesta dinnerware's release. They were discontinued before medium green was released and with the decrease in production of Fiesta pottery in the 50s there were less made than ever before. The egg cup in all colors proves an elusive item and all our sought after. They would have involved a suprising amount of handwork, including the outside upper rings which would have been formed on a jiggering machine and the slight flare of the foot would have been hand turned. This version in the 50s Rose is in excellent condition, without wear or damage and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
